More new shoes (well I am female ☺️). I ordered these about 10 days ago from Brooks in the sale. Before you ask, no, I haven’t had a gait analysis, as can’t be a**ed to traps into Leeds. But I used their online show finder which threw up a few alternatives, these being one. I also did some research on recommended shoes for Achilles issues and these were also mentioned there. However they went missing in transit last Tuesday, and were the last pair in stock, so thought I’d lucked out. Then had a text yesterday saying they’d be delivered today, and Bob’s you’re Uncle, here they are! Now, should I run in them straight away, or maybe wear them about the house for a few days?
Also, off topic, but hey......I decided over Christmas that I would like to go back to work on a part time basis, as another step to being more active. I applied for a job on New Years Day, was interviewed last Thursday, and had a call today offering a couple of days a week work, which suits me perfectly. Nobody to celebrate with as Hub works away during the week, so sharing with you lovely lot 😁
Hope all of the running is going ok today 👍

Congratulations on your new job (also having a partner that work away all week) I'm celebrating with you! 😄
Dont know much about trainers as I just run in some Nike's dont feel like I'm good enough runner for special tests and trainers if I'm honest! Maybe I will later on!
Definitely wear them inside first. But don't Brooks let you wear them outside for 90 days and if not ok you can send them back? Not sure where I read that so don't take my word for it! 👟
Fab news regarding your job. Celebrations - 😁🎉🎉🤗🎊🥂
Thanks! Problem is there’s always this dilemma of nice new pretty shoes v rain, puddles, and dirt. I should really choose shoes that I don’t like to look at!
Brooks heel to toe drop are high which means they're good for foot and heel issues. They ruined me as I have knee issues and I have since found out that I need a low drop so hokas are great for me and they fixed me overnight. I sent my brooks back and got a no quibble refund so I wouldn't worry about not wearing them outside yet. Iove the colourway. Hope they work for you. Hopefully they'll fix you 👌🏽
Also on the new running shoes. I got some new ones last week and wore them the night they arrived. They didn't feel like new shoes. I've worn them a couple of times now and they have been fine, no rubbing.
OMG I’ve got shoe envy. They are so 😎. I decided to buy mine on holiday as a girl does! You have had an eventful week and congratulations on your new job. 👏🎉👍. It’s all good vibes 😁. I wouldn’t be able to resist getting out there hail rain or shine in the new shoes 👟. Dorothy in Wizard of Oz with a click of the heels 😂.
I looked at them over a couple of days - they had my size, then they didn’t, and then they did again (go figure). So pinged them into my basket and checked out pretty sharpish! Then they went missing, then found again - I could make a movie script out of these shoes 😆😜
Congratulations on the job, as to the shoes oh they are gorgeous, i’m really jealous, in a nice way. If they were mine i’d wear them for a bit then sit and look at them for a bit, then put them on and go for a little walk. I hope you get miles of good running in them
I have 3 pairs of Brooks for road and 2 pairs for trail and I LOVE them. I would take them for a short run and see how you feel. I’ve not had any problems with mine straight from the box enjoy
Very nice shoes to get you out there in! And who doesn't need a good shoe pick me up after being on the IC for so long. Go and get them dirty, then you can clean them and admire them while you do!!
