Finished my first week today, been easier than expected, but I am fully aware that it may not always be that.
I am now 50 and have had the app on my phone for a couple of years, bought a treadmill on Ebay and made a start. Overweight and a Diabetic I really need to get fit and increase my life span. Looking forward to running around the Norfolk broads.

Well done for getting started π and completing week 1 π
My OH being diagnosed as diabetic was what shocked me into taking a long hard look at myself - and I didn't like what I saw! It made me realise I was going the same way. That was 2 years ago now, and having found the NHS weight loss site (sister site to c25k) I am pleased to say I'm over 6 stone lighter, fitter and healthier than I've ever been, and c25k is my new challenge, having turned 50 last year.
Good luck with improving your health - I can recommend it π
Thanks all, I think being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes may be a blessing in disguise, my dad died from a heart attack at 61, I think my body was/is in a worse condition than his was, so being diabetic made me make some serious changes to my life which C25K is the biggest change and the best thing for a diabetic can do to start changes to my life expectancy, it really is a life or death option and I am embracing it with a true determination and excitement to change that has even surprised me.
