1st week done!

Hi, I am new here and glad that I did find this place at seems to be a nice crowd to exchange experiences.

I am 37 years old and 81kg for 178cm. Having had an office job for the last 15 years and never done any sport, I had the painful realisation that even running for the bus puts me out of breath.

So after postponing it for while I bought some running shoes and started with the C25K this week. Now Sunday I have the first 3 runs behind me and already a sense of having accomplished something.

I think this is the main appeal of this programme to me, being able to break a far and abstract goal (becoming fitter) into weekly milestones, then each week into three runs and then each run into 60 second intervals.

W1R2 is planned for Wednesday, I am already looking forward to it.

Great attitude and well done on getting started. I think the running for a bus/train thing is what led many of us to the realisation that something had to be done.

Congratulations on completing week1

And welcome to the gang.

This is an amazing program and the support from the guys and gals on here is awesome.

We have all been where you are...2 years ago I couldn't run for a bus and today I ran 11k for the first time.

Good luck with the rest of the program and your life as a runner.

Yes, it's excellent and a safe way to get fit. A bit at a time, manageable short sessions, done nice and slowly. It's lovely 😀 It really is a great way to approach things. You will surprise yourself 😀

Good luck 👍
