1st 5k done!!!

I started C25K 7 weeks ago as my daughter wanted me to do a local 5k with her. 7 weeks ago I couldn’t run for any time. Today we did 5k in 36 minutes and my 2 lovely friends who are both experienced runners stayed at my pace and kept me going. Feeling soooooo happy! Will still finish the program as I am determined to graduate, but thank you to everyone who has commented & answered questions I’ve asked here, and provided such amazing support! My daughter told me she was “dead proud” of me! 😍

Lovely photo of you and your daughter, nice that your two experienced running friends ran along with you at your pace, not theirs.

Well done Lorna, I did the same thing this morning! Similar time to you as well, will keep going to the end of the programme as still a newbie at this, Angus

Such a great time! I expect by the time you graduate you'll be able to do the 5k in 30 mins.... I'm SO way off that that I'm actually 'jealous' of your fabulous success! Well done!

I think having my friends there pushed me to keep going and even up my pace a bit, so I’m not expecting to get much faster, but that’s ok.... just keeping going is great! It’s definitely a different journey for everyone x

Well done on your run and the wise decision to stick with the plan to continue conditioning your body.

Congratulations on that 5k to the both of you. Enjoy completing your journey.

By my understanding “dead proud” is even better than “well proud”
