Wk4 rn 2 completed

I felt so tired today after an anxiety attack yesterday, I didn’t sleep well either. I didn’t feel like I had any energy to run before I went and found the first half tough, but it’s slightly up hill. When things levelled out I seemed to find a really nice steady pace and completed the run easily. The run really helped my puffy eyes, made me feel better, and I’m glad I did it, but I can’t lie I really want to get back into bed now and hide from the world.

Glad you managed to get out. Running is one of the things that’s helps me with my anxiety. Try not to let it stop you going as you will benefit from getting out there 🙂

I use it as a tool to manage my anxiety now 🙂

Anxiety is not an issue I'm familiar with but you should feel proud of yourself for what you did. The C25K mantra of small steps applies to many obstacles in life. Today you went for a run, tomorrow you might overcome another hurdle. Celebrate your achievements and be kind to yourself when you feel life is difficult. ,❤️

Well done Babysteps. I think you've just proved what they say about running (and exercise in general) being good for your well-being. Well done too for making me feel jealous of your achievements! I've struggled to (just) manage running W4 R1 on a couple of occasions before grinding to a halt in December, I have now started again from scratch and should be starting W2 in the morning. I can understand that you might want to hide from The World but really, I think you should be walking around with your head held up high and carrying a placard bragging about your achievements, well done!

Hi Babysteps2020

Anxiety attacks can leave you very tired indeed. My daughter used to have them and when they were at their worse would leave her physically exhausted and she would sleep for hours afterwards.

The fact that you fought through it and got out for a run is amazing, and you’re amazing for doing it.

Keep coming back here if it helps you. There’s plenty of folks here to help you along your journey.

Noel.
