Hey all, this morning, I was all geared up for doing my second run of week 5 when it was pouring rain. Anyone advice on what to wear I don’t want to get sick.

(Also I redid my run1 of week 5 so happy to have done it!! Thanks for all that gave advice!!)

Running in the rain is fab! Wear usual gear with a light waterproof jacket..baseball cap good to keep rain out of your eyes! You will soon be home to change 😁

That’s it. Just enough to keep you from getting to cold until you warm up. I always dress for about 3K. Normally warmed up by then 🏃🏽‍♂️

I just wear my usual running gear for whatever temperature. Waterproof jackets just seem to make the water cascade down my legs and feet, at least in my usual gear I soak through evenly 😬

You can't get wetter than wet, and we are pretty much waterproof.

My main concern is potholes disguised as puddles!.

Give it a go, you'll enjoy it 🤩

Getting wet won't make you sick... it will make you wet:)

Many folk do not wear anything different, they just get wet and then shower... If out when it starts rain... you just keep running. If it is throwing it down before I set out... lightweight breathable waterproof...mine are Ron Hill bought in sales; large peak cap ( keeps rain off my glasses), buff to stop drips down the neck :)

Think you've got all the good advice you need here.

The peak cap is a good one. If nothing else, just to keep the rain out of your eyes.

Love running in the rain. As for being sick, well I started C25K in October and I run in all weathers, including torrential downpours. This is the first year for as long as I can remember that I have not been sick in November or December 🙂

All of the above. Rain running is very exhilarating, and then you just shower - give it a go 🌧 😁
