First Park Run

My goal when I started C25K was to do a park run, and I did my first this morning. I’m not fast. Did the 5k in 42 minutes. It was hard but was great to be in amongst it all. I don’t think I’ll ever get to 30 minutes, but actually I’m pretty happy where I am. I’ll aim to do it under 40 as my next challenge. For me, it’s nothing short of miraculous that I can run at all! The park run is such an incredible thing. I feel I’m part of something really special. The C25K app is awesome. And I’m feeling pretty awesome myself!!

Well done, TW. Are you a C25K graduate, or did you do this run earlier? I’m impressed either way 👏🏻⭐️

Thanks for that. I graduated in March. Took me 4 months. But I’m not in any hurry.

Brilliant, well done TeacherWendy!! C25K and parkrun, two brilliant things😊. 52 minutes is great. I graduated C25k in January and "inspired" my daughter who graduated this week. Today I was proud to run with Katie at her first parkrun and my 6th. Enjoy your running and many more parkruns

Thanks for that. How lovely to run with yr daughter. My son does 5k in 19 minutes- so I don’t think I could ever run with him!!

Tell him to slow down! You have to do at least one parkrun together
