Run day, but first work and at lunch time i had beans on toast, felt heavy and tired when we ran but plodded on, tiny twinges in my right calf until two and a half kilometers when i felt a jagged pain across the centre of my calf it was like a fork of lightening, so home again to rest until work tomorrow, actually it doesn’t feel too bad walking so may be less damage than i first thought

Have a good weekend runners

Have you tried ice and heat? Might loosen it up a bit for you but I think you'll probably need to go easy for a while - no yoga for you either. What a shame. I hope it settles down soon.

Why no yoga?

Oooh I thought it may damage it further. Good for you if you can carry on with the yoga 😉

Think of it as a reminder! Plain toast might be OK but the baked beans would be too heavy

I usually run empty and there was 2 more hours of work before i could run but even that was not long enough, generally on saturdays at work i have a piece of toast but today the cook loaded lots of toast and beans on, we didn’t run so often in December and i notice that it feels harder,
