THAT'LL TEACH ME!

I thought I would be clever this morning. I was/am curious as to how far off running 5k in 30 minutes I am. So for my W9R2 I decided after my 5 minute warm up, when Jo said run I would turn on my Strava and when she said stop running....I would turn it off, and mission would be accomplished. Not so simple: Firstly there was a blip after I'd been walking for 2 minutes. Jo started her intro all over again 😑 however I wasn't going to let that spoil my run. It was relatively warm (should I have worn my vest?) with a spit of rain in the air. I was in a nice place physically and a good place mentally. RUN! - Strava on! After a while I decided to take a photo. My first whilst out running. Then she tells me I'm at the halfway point. I ran on for another good photo opportunity (see below - arrow indicating my start point) then turned and started my return journey. After quite some time I thought 'Jo's very quiet' - of course she was - she was on PAUSE 😫 I started her off again and after a couple of minutes she told me that I'd been running for 20 minutes - NOOOOOooo!!!! Nothing for it - I just kept going until she told me to stop. So all in all I RAN 6.3k in 40.35 minutes at a pace of 6.22. Could someone please tell me how to work out km to time ran? So, that's definitely (possibly) the last time I fiddle about taking photos and playing music! Feeling good though - I'm off to France tomorrow - driving down, so my final C25K will be there. I already know where I'm going to run and I'm looking forward to that but I'm going to do it on Wednesday (hopefully) give myself time to get over today's run and the journey down. Can I make anymore silly mistakes? Watch this space!

You ran 6.3 kilometres in 40.35 at a pace of 6.22 which is very good, that would about 34 minutes if it had been a 5K Park run

Have a brilliant grad run. Wow, you are so lucky to have such a lovely scenery on your runs.

Thank you. It’s not all like this. It’s also quite hilly which is challenging! The tracks too are quite stony so I have to be careful - terrified of twisting my ankle and coming a cropper! You are right though, I am lucky 😊

You ran 6.3k in less time than I took to run 5k yesterday! So I’d say that was a good time - very well done! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Brave you for multitasking whilst running, and what lovely countryside. ❀️

Have a blast graduating in France. Hope you’ll send a pic on the big day! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ’ͺπŸ»πŸ˜€
