I'm currently someone that does little to no exercise so was very apprehensive about my first run. Pleased to say I completed it though some of the runs in the middle were a mixture of walking and jogging, but the main thing is I kept moving and it was not as scary as I thought it would be! I was running on wet sand on the beach, so not sure if this made it more difficult for myself? Good luck everyone

Week 1 Run 1
Hi Claire, good for you having a go at running. I didn't do any until just a couple of years ago and I've been surprised how much I've enjoyed it and how I've improved. You're doing it exactly right. Don't see sections of walking as a downer, it's actually the recommended wait to go. Gradually you'll run more and walk less, but keep it up. It can be quite satisfying when you see how far you've come x
Welcome to the forum and well done
on getting started.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Repeat any session that you have not fully completed, before moving on.
Enjoy your journey.
That's really positive!
You'll see from my first run, I really, really struggled.

But I made it. And eventually I graduated. I even quite like running now
I've never run on sand, but it sounds tough. Though probably a little better on the joints.
You've made a terrific start. Keep it up!

You may be making life hard on that sand but well done starting. If you found you couldn’t complete a section running try going slower. No slow is too slow on this plan. Happy running
Well done. I’m exactly the same completed Day1 today. Keep at it.
Lots of week 1 run 1ers here today to support each other. Roll on Saturday! 🏃♂️
Good luck we will do it lol
