So I done it, I bit the bullet and done the first run.
I know if I'd have left it to later in the day I probably wouldn't have do it due to excuses (not enough time, too much to do) so I just got it over and done with that way it's not in my mind all day that I need to do it.
It went rather well... by halfway my Brian was saying "you can stop now and go home at least you started" but my mind stayed focused at completed what I set out to do.
The first step is done now I just need to stick to it.
I think I might actually start to enjoy getting outside and running, there's a lot I didn't notice before.
I think the biggest challenge I faced was not dropping to stoke a dog as I ran past. My will power is stronger than I imagined lol.
I love the little nod you have with other runners as they go past, the head nod that just means "well done, keep going"
The last run of the session I had a little sprint and soon had to stop and lower the pace but it's good that I'm willing to push myself
I managed to get my heart rate to 170 which is the peak zone rather than cardio or fat burn.
Hope everyone has a lovely xmas and can stay as focused as possible on their goals, but remember have fun & don't be too hard on yourself
