Week 2 run 2 completed 😏

I got up early this morning and dragged myself out my cosy heated bed out in the icy, windy cold for the run... the first 90 seconds felt super easy, and then it just felt like a struggle the rest of the way!!!

Either way, completed it. 💪🏼

I tried out my new trainers for the first time today too... they seemed comfy and supportive. Could be coincidence as I have rheumatoid arthritis but my right knee and hip started to become painful, which has now niggled all day, fingers crossed it’s not the trainers!! Guess time will tell!

I chose to listen to Jason Manford’s Christmas special podcast which got me through, some good giggles in there - I really am finding this is key for getting me through these runs; they also make it much more enjoyable. Plus like the app says, keep telling yourself you love running as you’re running; I think this is really working 🤣

I’m finding this C25K thing a funny mixture of emotions, loving it but it’s a challenge.

I also read somewhere that on the last run try and run for the amount of time that’s on the next run. So on my last 90 seconds I decided to try and add on another 90 seconds, which I managed, so given me a bit of a insight/boost for the 3 mins runs in week 3.

I then went off with my mum for a New Year’s Day trek - topped off with Pizza Hut... do not feel guilty in the slightest!! Productive day if you ask me :) will sleep well tonight 🛌

Really well done! Good on you for getting out there. And quite right not to feel guilty, you deserved it!

I wouldn't mess with the plan though as that could get quite messy. Especially on weeks where each run is different. Stick to the plan and you'll be absolutely fine.

Good for you for completing! Agree with other post, I’m just finished week 8. Stick t the plan, don’t add to it. It’s got me to this stage!
