So it feels like a milestone now, no more intervals ahead of me.

Struggled a bit with motivation to get out today, took an extra rest day (last run was 31st), but was glad once I was running (jogging) and it felt fine. Will try a more interesting route on Sunday to keep me going.

It does feel like a milestone at this juncture. I was happy to leave the intervals behind but so glad they’d taken me to this point. Enjoy your run on Sunday 👍🏃🏽🏃🏾‍♂️🏃🏻‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Once you complete run 3 of week 6, you will be OFFICIALLY a RUNNER, good luck for that 25 minute run.

Not sure I'll feel like a runner for a while yet!

I’m at the same stage and really looking forward to leaving intervals behind. It sounds nuts to say as I was dreading this point a few weeks ago, but W5R3 and W6R2 made me realise I didn’t need the intervals anymore :)

Hi Chocs_away (great name!), I felt like that too. I think there's a few memorable milestones - wk5 run3 and wk6 run3 and then of course when we get there, the big graduation!

After week 6 you really do feel like a runner, going round your route without stopping/walking,

I wouldn't worry about an extra rest day, I think every now and again they're really necessary and your body will love you for it. Although I enjoy the running, I also look forward to the 2 consecutive days each week where I can be back on the couch (eeeek did I just say that? I meant in the swimming pool! haha).

Haha yes, 2 rest days are good!

Well done. Isn’t this such a great program, to get to the point where you are actually looking forward to running non stop for that long?

You’re really doing so well, keep it up.

At the same stage as you- run 2 week 6 completed this morning. So excited to be doing the longer runs without the walking from now on. I feel like a runner- a slow runner though! Be interesting to see how you get on. I just got fitted for new running shoes as a treat but also my old ones were a bit small. Was told I have a neutral gait so am happy!
