Graduated in November and been running around 3 times a week plus one Park Run since then. Have never really enjoyed it and the Park Run was hard and made me realise how slow I was (38 mins and very near the back). But this morning I went for a run and didn’t worry how long I ran for and I actually for the first time enjoyed it. I ended up doing 4.95 km. Perhaps I won’t give up after all!

Well done you! Running really is a funny old game, it must be the only activity where the outcome and how you feel about it changes from run to run. I started in March and I’m still waiting for the buzz that people talk about. Once the weather improves you’ll probably start to enjoy it more and more, as the sunny warm weather definitely makes it more enjoyable.

That’s the best part of following this programme, you get to the end and then do what you want, that’s when we really began to enjoy running as well

Have fun

Slowing down and forgetting about pace is one of the best ways of enjoying your running.

I can only dream of a 38 Min 5k. 😊

Running with no agenda is a great way to get your mojo back. Also nothing to stop you doing a 15/20 min run once a week. It's great to mix it up. Happy running
