Well , with one run left before I graduate , I decided to do a park run . Registered last week and took the bull by the horns this morning. 9.00am came around very quick and it was a lovely morning , if a bit cold (2c) lovely sun and blue sky. Really friendly crowd and thoroughly enjoyed my run . My first run was 36.28. Loved it and the parkrun people are great πŸƒπŸƒπŸƒπŸƒπŸƒπŸƒπŸƒπŸƒπŸƒπŸƒ. Don’t give up and keep running , no matter how hard it gets you can do it

Dear FatBoyBaz - amazing achievement and a huge well done. Did my first parkrun today too as my week 9 run 3 and you’re so right, what a friendly environment with so many people all just getting fresh air into their lungs. Good luck with your remaining runs.

Who knew there were so many thousands of runners pounding the parks on a Saturday morning.

It is a great movement. Keep enjoying it.

I am in awe that it started as one person’s idea and how it has grown into this exceptionally positive movement which has over 4 million people registered. 4 months ago I laughed as I set myself the C25K challenge and did nothing until 1st October then today did ParkRun - It was blooming hard and I did feel a bit phased by the super speedies who lapped me but I’m not giving up!

I find it inspirational that those runners who can complete the course in the mid teens of minutes and those who are struggling round in an hour or more, are all welcomed at the same free event, which is run by volunteers. That is people power at its best.

Well done AbiT
