Waited until about half 2 this afternoon for the bulk of the rain to move away, got dressed up in my new gear and went out feeling like a poser lol.
But .... Poser no more, I've been wanting to say it for ages when everyone else posted the image, I'm no poser I'm a RUNNER!
WooHoo, weeks 7-9 you're mine!
Stats wise, really happy too. Covered 4.4km in the 25 mins. I think I've found the key to that damned hill !!! I find it best if I keep the same cadence (strides per minute) because that's the groove that I'm in, but take much shorter strides. It feels like I've changed down a gear to climb the hill. Anyone else do this/notice this??
oh yes and went out this morning to the boxing day sales and got some Asics from Decathlon - they are so comfy and springy!!
Hope you've all had a great Christmas and Santa was kind to you all.

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 6, you are now OFFICIALLY a RUNNER, onwards and upwards to 7 which are all 3 /25 minute runs.
I have a metromone app which helps a bit with cadence, it goes from 1 to 300 beats a minute, for my running I set it from 155 to a maximum of 180 beats, steps, cadence a minute, with the 180 I have ran a 5K in just over 31 minutes, if I lengthen my strides I could get a sub 31 minutes 5K, perhaps a PB of 30.30.
Thanks AlMorr, I’ve been hunting round my Garmin watch this evening and it has a metronome I’ve set it to 175 to start with and I’ll see how I go from there. My current average cadence is 172 with a max of 179.
Now we’ll see if that has an effect on the damned hill
25 minutes non stop, you are a runner. Hope you enjoyed wearing your new running gear. The way you're running hills sounds exactly the way I would do it and if it works for you then great.
I’ve been itching to get to the I’m a RUNNER bit for ages, but then that’s the whole point isn’t it!
Must say though, it’s really nice to run in running gear. I’ve long sleeves, windproof top, tights...and a jump to the riiiight! Etc etc and it’s much more comfy
