Good one Buddy, I like that, by the way I am still hoping to run at Drumpellier this Saturday, if I do I will be wearing my reindeer jumper and a Santa red hat, I got a email from the Vitality Parkrun people who want me to run a PB this Saturday, ha, maybe. ๐
Talking about the 12 Days of Christmas I suggest that everyone runs a 5K on the 5th day of Christmas which is the 29th December, I was also thinking of running a 10K on the 10th day of Christmas which is the 3rd January
Hi lexi6, it's just gone 7am on Christmas day in NZ, 6pm on Christmas Eve in the UK., My I be the first person to wish you and your family a very Happy Christmas.
Thank you Alan ๐ and you are the first to wish us a Happy Christmas. After wearing my jacket and beanie yesterday because it was so cold I woke up this morning to sunshine and best of all no wind -yet ๐ Definitely firing up the barbie today. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas.
Thank you lexi6, as I post this to you its 7.50pm on Christmas Eve where I am, 8.50am on Christmas Day where you are, still over 4 hours until Santa delivers my presents down the chimney, ha, no snow, there might be a slight frost tonight, but generally the weather for Xmas Day in the UK is to be dry and not too cold.
๐ In the mid bleak winter I ran a parkrun, rainโ on rain โ wet wind made me moan, ran through all the puddles, rain had fallen, rain on rain, in the bleak mid winter at Saturday's Park run
Hi TailChaser, that did NOT apply to me and Buddy34 this morning, it was very pleasant running today, dry, just a few puddles, so while I am here, may I wish you all the best for the season ๐๐คถ
I think we must have your weather down south then Al! Like many others, our parkrun was cancelled today and I bumped into many parkrunners at the gym this morning.
Thank you for your Christmas wishes Al, the same to you and yours ๐ ๐ผ๐๐
I have been making a excuse regarding my time at parkrun this morning, it was almost two minutes slower than my PB, I was wearing a rather heavy Christmas reindeer jumper, I was very warm running in it and slowed me down a little, OK, excuses, excuses, anyway, I wish you Jerichomile and your family a very happy and prosperous Christmas ๐คถ ๐.
Yes, Away in a Manger is not my favourite Christmas Song, the reason for that is as a little boy I had to sing it around Christmas time everywhere I went, including visiting all my 13 *aunts and uncles homes and even as late as New Years Day. they asked me to sing it while my sister accompied me playing the piano. ๐ถ All that stopped when I was about 7 years old.
I wish you Bluebirdrunner a very Merry Christmas and a happy running New Year,
Sorry if you are on the IC, if so I hope it won't be too long.
*My mother was one of 7 children, my father was one of 6 children hence all the aunts and uncles.
