Week 5 Workout 1.....I did it!

OMG!

After all my trepidation I took myself out earlier & managed to complete the first workout of week 5!

I decided to increase my warm up walk to 7 minutes....that way I had walked most of the way up the big hill at the start of my route before the first 5 minute run.....which seemed to last forever but doable. As always I find the other runs slightly easier than the first!!!!

I'm going to try the same workout again in a couple of days but with the standard 5 minute warm up walk , so I can attempt to run the hill before I move on to the 8 minute runs.

Thanks again to all those who replied to my earlier post & gave me the confidence to have a crack at week 5. 😊

Brilliant , you started on wk5. You're doing what's right for you and as you know you can repeat any run or week . Well done you 😊😊

Well done! I think then5’ is a minimum really. It’s probably ok when you are 20 and it’s warm outside but I found that 10’ was better for me in these temperatures plus if you avoid the hill then.... win win :-) congratulations
