Well what can I say?

Last run on Tuesday and i was all geared up to run 6k today... weather almost perfect, blue sky but windy, off we went

Well what can I say? after a week of late shifts early shifts and very short nights it just wasn’t happening, warm up walk tired but ok, first kilometre dragged with tired legs and ragged breathing, 9 minutes slowed down a bit more second kilometre realised there was no way this was going to be a long run third kilometre nearly closed my eyes for a little snooze so a warm down walk and home

BUT...we went out and after the disappointment of a tough run we grinned and realised we at least got out there and the wind is howling which doesn’t help, the sun shone so i snapped a couple of pics just to remember that we were out

Happy weekend running friends

So your run was a little shorter than you had planned. I always think the most important thing is you got out there. The weather doesn’t help. So good on you for getting out there and taking another fab picture 😁

So philosophical 🤣 I've said it before and now I've said it again. Good on you! This is how I want to be - got to graduate again first though!

Once you graduate you feel so totally in control of running it’s fantastic

You sound exhausted. But you still got out and ran and should be happy with yourselves. Hope you can have a nice rested day. 🤗🤗🤗

We have nothing planned but a bit of sorting and wrapping and listing what else needs to be bought

Ism exhausted, i hate the early starts but we’ve just lost 2 members of staff so i’m filling in where needed and trying to get my own work caught up with too, I was working by 7 yesterday and the bonus of that is coming home by 3 but was still working at 5 when i bundled my laptop up and came home

Have a great weekend Buddy

Sounds like a really tough week. I think you deserve a pat on the back for doing what you did!

Getting out and running clears my head and makes my rest time more valuable....who’s work with people eh?

RunningMigster profile image

People are dreadful. My wife and I keep saying it. Shopping at Christmas.... I'd rather face a town full of dogs than a town full of people 😆

Ha, well there was a park full of dogs this morning, the people i work with are great but fill my head with stuff too much, running clears it all out

Put that down to a nice easy going run for you today, at least you got out, I started running for exercise, rather than to see how fast I could go, you had a good exercise which got you off the couch and into the fresh air.

That is a good photo you took, by the way I ran a parkrun this morning wearing a reindeer Santa jumper and a Santa hat, there were also a few other people with Santa hats as well,

NO. PB for me today, my time was 32.38, not too bothered about that, at least the rain ☔ stayed off.

You did indeed get out and run. Well done, sounds like you’ve had quite a week.

Thanks, it’s been horrendous, a whole week of between 4 and 5 hours sleep a night, too tired to concentrate on eating well and too much busy work to remember to drink enough, but i’m on a temporary contract which expires 31 december so a bit of anxiety which was relieved thursday when i learned it’s been extended again

I’m the longest secondment in history, went there to work 6 months and nearly 4 years on still there lol 😂

Great you’ve had the extension confirmed but sounds like it’s been a stressful time. Glad you are getting so much enjoyment from running

Great pic and every run counts. Good for you for sharing too, we can all use the encouragement of knowing not every run is easy and some are.....just shorter! 👏
