Last run on Tuesday and i was all geared up to run 6k today... weather almost perfect, blue sky but windy, off we went
Well what can I say? after a week of late shifts early shifts and very short nights it just wasn’t happening, warm up walk tired but ok, first kilometre dragged with tired legs and ragged breathing, 9 minutes slowed down a bit more second kilometre realised there was no way this was going to be a long run third kilometre nearly closed my eyes for a little snooze so a warm down walk and home
BUT...we went out and after the disappointment of a tough run we grinned and realised we at least got out there and the wind is howling which doesn’t help, the sun shone so i snapped a couple of pics just to remember that we were out
Happy weekend running friends

So your run was a little shorter than you had planned. I always think the most important thing is you got out there. The weather doesn’t help. So good on you for getting out there and taking another fab picture 😁
Thanks Jacca it was lovely to be out and not raining ☔️ this week i will make sure my before 6 starts to the day aren’t accompanied by after midnight ends to the day
We have nothing planned but a bit of sorting and wrapping and listing what else needs to be bought
Ism exhausted, i hate the early starts but we’ve just lost 2 members of staff so i’m filling in where needed and trying to get my own work caught up with too, I was working by 7 yesterday and the bonus of that is coming home by 3 but was still working at 5 when i bundled my laptop up and came home
Put that down to a nice easy going run for you today, at least you got out, I started running for exercise, rather than to see how fast I could go, you had a good exercise which got you off the couch and into the fresh air.
That is a good photo you took, by the way I ran a parkrun this morning wearing a reindeer Santa jumper and a Santa hat, there were also a few other people with Santa hats as well,
NO. PB for me today, my time was 32.38, not too bothered about that, at least the rain ☔ stayed off.
Thanks, it’s been horrendous, a whole week of between 4 and 5 hours sleep a night, too tired to concentrate on eating well and too much busy work to remember to drink enough, but i’m on a temporary contract which expires 31 december so a bit of anxiety which was relieved thursday when i learned it’s been extended again
I’m the longest secondment in history, went there to work 6 months and nearly 4 years on still there lol 😂
Thanks, it’s such a busy place and losing 2 staff just before christmas has put a strain on us all, come boxing day i have a few days off and can catch up on sleep and running
She has a second wind with a week of family and work Christmas parties even danced at a ceilidh during the week, she said best nights sleep for ages obviously tired out baby bump😉
Great pic and every run counts. Good for you for sharing too, we can all use the encouragement of knowing not every run is easy and some are.....just shorter! 👏
