Ran yesterday but life got hectic so just catching up now. Ran with son and granddaughter which was a first and felt odd running with others! We were not on home territory and got lost/confused/puzzled and so the runs were interrupted by which questions about way at crossroads etc.

We did complete the runs in a fashion so I am going to repeat the run. Still not on home territory so will need a better plan. Weather is wet and stormy so not looking great ☹️.

Decisions tomorrow as had a soaking today and still drying out kit...

A puzzle run! 😄 It may have been a bit interrupted, but your legs still reaped the benefits. 😄

Well done! 😄 Sounds like a light, breathable running ( or cycling) jacket might help??

I tend to do “out & back” runs in unknown territory for simplicity, unless there is an obvious fail proof route. 😄

I have been looking for a waterproof jacket but so far ones I saw were very plasticy and crackly! Any suggestions?

It was a bit like a rabbit warren of twisty roads and paths and even out and back was confusing!! I have a route now for tomorrow which should work! As you say it kept the legs going. 😀

For a less expensive breathable jacket Aldi, (sometimes) or Decathlon. Check the light cycling jackets as well as running gear. I run & cycle in the same jacket - cycle jackets have longer sleeves ( so no need for gloves when I run) & are cut longer at the back - warm backside!! 😄

I should also have said it is a thin light jacket & I vary how many layers I put on under it to suit the temperature. It also has a full front zip - which I undo as I warm up. You certainly don’t want a thick cycling jacket for running- you’d cook! 😄
