Wk3 R 3 done

I Had been feeling a bit anxious about running 3 mins , would have postponed until tomorrow

But hubby was keen to give it a try when he got home .. shame as he started getting calf aches again , they weren't to bad on Wednesday.. so thought we'd turned a corner,

we did manage all the run sections , very slowly, but they seemed long...might call this a practice just to make sure we're both ready to move on to Wk 4 Especially as I've read it's when people quit

We have been running for 4 weeks now. Pretty amazing for us Definitely don't want to give up

Don't worry about week 4. You have already told us that you don't want to give up. Gremlins in your head are your biggest enemy, so just take it slowly and then slow down a bit and you'll be fine x

I guess the only way to know is

To give it a go 👍🏻

Try not to look ahead. Trust the programme and take it one run at a time.

Good luck

Thank you 😊

*its when people quit* No it isn't. Everyone here who has a 'Graduate badge' didn't quit and neither will you- unless you talk yourself into it. Positive Mental Attitude please!

There were a few posts about statistics and people who quit at wk4/5

I do feel determined to keep going.

Mostly due to encouragement here

My legs did feel tired after 3 mins though ..

My dream is to go for a run with our teenage grandchildren

Hopefully in January 😊. Thanks for replying. It does help 👍🏻

That's definitely a dream worth going for..... But I wouldn't set myself a time scale on that - do it when you are ready and you will enjoy it all the more. Well done for getting out there. 😁

Thank you. You are right a time scale adds pressure and we want to enjoy it !

Slow down. I was getting horrible calf ache around that week too, but once I slowed down(always slow rather than stop) it helped me find my pace and keep going. If you struggle, slow.

Look up Japanese slow running, it really helps to understand just how slow you CAN go!!
