I am starting this journey for the 3rd time. This time its hard as my Dad is in a hospice for end of life care. I thought the runs might help me focus elsewhere for a time. I am really tired though. Has anyone had a similar experience or offer advice on fatigue.

Overcoming fatigue
So sorry to hear about your dad. You take care of yourself. Remember on your journey you are looking for a bit of headspace not to beat any world records. If you can, try to find at least one run a week in a beautiful place or where you have great memories of your dad. Relax and go with the flow.
Welcome to the forum and well done
on getting started.

Diet and hydration are very important for anybody stressing their body with physical exercise.
Take extra rest days if necessary.
Enjoy your journey.
I am sure you will be all over the place and stress and fatigue go hand in hand. I turned to running in grief and I was tired and found it hard but I found it did help to just push me over into needing to sleep rather than my mind going crazy every time My head hit the pillow. Take it very slowly and if you feel too sore or tired on any run transition into a walk, I am sure the time out in the fresh air and different focus will help whether it is a run or a walk. The program can take as long as you need so just do what is best for you, Take very good care of yourself. Rfc x
Emotionally tough time for you.
Not a medic, but don’t put any expectation on yourself.
Just go very slow and see if your focus engages. It is not a pleasure running when emotionally fatigued.Hope you are OK physically.
Tbh no similar experience, just completed C25k for a third time at 76,and I could not do what you are doing.
Hope it all works out for you. This gift of running will patiently await your arrival.
🏃♀️⭐️👏👏💥🙏
Don't be too hard on yourself. You're going through a very, very difficult time. Running can be incredibly useful during times of stress and emotional overload but we have to be careful not to punish ourselves by pushing too hard too.
Just do what you can, take from it what brings some relief. As mentioned it can help to make you properly tired to get better sleep. Being out in nature can give us some fresh air and headspace. Try to focus on your surroundings rather than the other worries dominating currently.
Most of all, look after yourself👍🏻😊
From my own experience, what you are going through is very debilitating and that tiredness pervades everything you do. In my book what you are feeling is absolutely to be expected. Just try to be kind to yourself and don’t push your running at all . If a gentle jog gives you some diversion, great. I found that talking to people helped me more than anything.
