Run this morning went great, no issues at all and for anyone with knee worries I highly recommend a good brace. I even sprinted* a little bit at the end of the second 5 minute segment!
* Disclaimer, sprint is a relative term. Ussain Bolt has nothing to worry about just yet π

Well done Rigpig, you appear to be flying through this, that's brilliant! I'm still a bit (further) behind you but just imagine me nipping at your heels whilst I try to catch up!
Going on Holiday over Christmas and New Year and I'm pretty sure there is a 5 day segment where I won't be able to run, you might be able to catch me up
Well done. I had a 'sprint' too this morning. Since graduating I've tried to have one longer very slow run, one short run with 'sprints', followed by one 5k run the best I can manage. Too early to judge progress yet, but I'm loving it.
I'm constantly amazed by how much I'm loving it. I honestly would never have seen myself as a runner, I've had serious attempts at gym workouts before and was very successful with that about 7 years ago until I went to work in Iraq for a while and it just fizzled out. But running has never been something I thought I could do and even less enjoy
I have a friend who suffers from SAD and she dreads this time of year. I think I get from running what she gets from sunshine. I'm trying to persuade her to give C25k a go after Christmas, just to see if it can improve her mental health.
It's wonderful reading that your choice of knee brace worked out and is providing relief during your runs. There are many braces addressing different issues relating to the causes of knee pain and hitting a home run randomly deciding on a brace was very fortuitous. If in the future your pain should return, obtaining professional medical intervention might be advisable to prevent possible additional damage.
