Hi, since starting the programme I’ve missed my body pump classes as was keeping running rest days as complete rest days. I really don’t want to stop the pump classes completely. Can I incorporate a couple of classes a week into my training? ( pump and walking were the only other two exercises I did - I still walk ). I would appreciate some advise. 😄
Other exercise: Hi, since starting the programme... - Couch to 5K
Other exercise

Yes! Absolutely! 😁👍🏻
Rest days don't mean do nothing, but they do mean don't go running. So walking, cycling, swimming, yoga, pilates, weights, calisthenics, HIIT, martial arts, circuit training, etc.
So yes, get back into your class and enjoy 😊

I just try to make sure my rest days are kind to my joints. Swimming, yoga, strength and stability class are my poison of choice.

As stated in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5... any non impact cross training on your "rest" days will make you a better runner and improve recovery from the run.

Of course you can! I do a mixture of weights, HIIT and pilates/bodyweight exercises on my day off. I have one full rest day a week.
Other exercises make you an overall better runner and help your fitness.
Thank you
