Certainly not a bad idea. Cycling works different leg muscles but can help keep things in balance as running muscles develop, while allowing them to repair and strengthen. It will also work your cardiovascular system, so what is there not to like.
Go for it.

I run three days and cycle two ( weekend off) find I enjoy both and running has strangely helped my cycling. I have just finished week 4 so will cycle tomorrow (about 6-7 miles) then attempt week 5. Get the bike out and enjoy
