Hi. Does anyone else notice inclination to make a few improvements in how they’re eating after doing the C25K programme? Any good links to recommend.....think I need a “Couch to Eat Well” thing, specially if it’s got a fabulous support forum like this one. I need “eat well” buddies as I’m not getting much traction on introducing new habits at home 😂😂

I am keen to lose some weight but that's not really happening. I'm trying to avoid sweet treats but not really dieting at the moment. I am sick of yoyo dieting and am just going to make an effort to eat more vegetables and fill up on veg, rather than extra pasta, potatoes etc. I always lose weight when I avoid carbs but I find I crave them in the winter.
We all do, it's learning to pick the better carbs, sweet potato over regular (with skin ideally); wholemeal or granary over white bread, wholemeal pasta etc 👍🏻😊
A lot of people tend to think twice before eating the worst foods once they've started. It's partially a reflex I think from learning to respect our bodies again... plus of course it's harder to get up the hills with more weight than less! 👍🏻🤣
There is a health unlocked weight loss forum that is based on maybe eating better. Not sure if that's what you're looking for though
Thanks Buddy34, I’ll check that out. Main thing for me is trying to lose the sweet tooth and making better choices I think.
Making better choices (some of the time!) but not always! Need my family to not lead me into temptation and to help deliver me from puddings!
I am making better choices most of the time since starting, weight loss was not my goal, but it is an added benefit - have lost2kg since starting and don't think I have made many conscious reductions in my calorie intake.
Exercise alone rarely results in large amounts of weight loss, but I think if you know that the Mars bar you are about to eat is worth the whole run you did this afternoon it can help to prevent you going to the choccy cupboard!
I lost nearly 3 stone before I started this adventure. I cut white carbs and alcohol mostly. I also moved to a plant based diet.
Running hasn't lead to further weight loss, but it has helped me to stop yo yo dieting, along with improving my shape .
