Finally got on the wagon

After saying to myself I need to sort out my fitness (and my fat bum) for forever. I have finally started c25k this morning, well after doing regular brisk walking I am shocked to find I can’t run....yet. I’m going to say that getting out there is the first step and I’m still pretty proud of my jog/shuffle for the first go. 😂😂

That's what its all about 😁 just keep trying to push yourself a little bit further each time and don't about completing the plan perfectly!! If it takes you 5 attempts to complete the first full run then so be it just don't give up 😀

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

This plan really does work, so be prepared for your life to change in ways that you cannot even imagine.

Enjoy your journey.

Welcome and well done... keep working, that’s how winners are built. Jog/shuffle sounds just great too, big mistake that some make is going too fast. Keep at this and you’ll be so much fitter in a time that you won’t quite believe... I had to check when I started as I thought I must have got the month wrong. Enjoy your journey.

Welcome! I started last week and the first run was agony! The ones after have been fine, partly I think due to just jogging as slow as possible. On that first run I was worried about what I looked like, now I know that jogging really slowly is a lot faster than just sitting on the couch 😊.

I did run 2 of week 1 yesterday.... proud that I’ve managed to finish both and happy to get home with a very red face!

Yes, I have achieved so much today, not just my first ‘run’ but I have also felt motivated all day too.
