Trust the program, you have been preparing yourself for run 3 of week 5 since run 1

Once you have completed run 3 of week 5 you will be very proud of yourself, just run it slow and steady 🏃🏾.

You mean Run 1 of Week 5 compared to Run 3 of Week 5?

If you do... it's NOT 5 minutes vs 20 minutes

Run 1 is 15 minutes of running with small walking breaks.

Run 2 is 16 minutes of running with small walking breaks.

Run 3 is 20 minutes with no breaks. Honestly, there really isn't much difference at all. Weeks 1, 2, 3 and 4 have prepared you for this.

Well, they have prepared your body, but not your mind and it really is all in the mind believe it or not.

The only part of you that knows what time is is your head, you body doesn't know or care what a minute is, all it knows is that you are asking it to do things that means it has to do some work, you heart has to pump more blood around your body, that blood has to take more oxygen to your muscles and you lungs need to transfer as much oxygen to the blood as possible.

You leg muscles know what running is, you've been asking them to run for 5 weeks or 14 runs, again, your legs neither know or care about the time they spend running and will adapt to meet the requirements you are putting on them.

Trust the program, there are literally millions of people who have followed it and proved it works.

Just relax, don't think about the time, think about anything else, what type of winter running gear you want to buy next, etc, anything but time, let the app/podcast deal with that.

You can do it, the program has been preparing your body but it's now your turn to prove to you brain that you can do it.

That’s a very common question. In fact it is asked most weeks and there is a pinned post / FAQ all about it.
