I went a brisk walk with a little running around the Saturday morning Drumpellier Parkrun course to check out if the course was a little short of the full 5 kilometer distance, I think it is a little short, I completed it about 40 metres BEYOND the finish line of a Saturday morning, there have been others who also think the course is a little short of 5K.

Thanks AlMorr, so I was right 😊😊
Yep, if you look closely at that map/diagram you can see that the red end of the walk or run is a fraction beyond the green start, however, the 01 of the 5K which is only 10 metres could still make the parkrun distance exactly 5K, I would never argue with professional timing devices that they use at parkrun, I think all our parkrun times at Drumpellier are pretty accurate.
I was told by my local parkrun organisers that thy measure the distance with a good old fashioned measuring wheel. Using any form of GPS tracking can only be approximate apparently - who knows?
I still take my official result from parkruns as accurate.
Recently I ran a 5K on the exact same course which the local Santa Dash is ran in December, the Mapmyrun distance was EXACTLY the same as the Santa Dash distance, so the measuring wheel distance should be near enough the same as modern GPS tracking, trees of which there are plenty at parkruns can give a slight difference in accuracy too,
