Week 4 run 2 πŸ™‚

Complete πŸ™‚. Still slow but really starting to feel a bit stronger now which is great.

Looking at week 5 did any one attempt the park run for run 3 of week 5? Not the whole thing but running for the 20 mins and walking the rest. I’m wondering if it’s worth doing for the experience and getting to know the route or will it be disheartening potentially being last and seeing everyone run past me.

Any experience out there πŸ™‚

Thank you

That's great that you're feeling stronger and more confident.

I've seen some people who have. The best thing would be to look on the website at your local PR. How many on average come along? Look at the recent stats on finish times, if there seems to be a lack of slower runners then you may well be disheartened by the experience.

Could you go along as a volunteer maybe at first to see what the overall feeling is? πŸ€”

Slow is great and its what will get you to the end of each run.

Doing parkrun for r3 will be a great idea as long as you include the 5 minute warm up and cool down. It's a great experience ad I'm sure you'll love it.

Well done you 😊

Before I started running I used to fast walk the PR. There were others who walked too plus very slow run/walk folk. It’s fun and whether you run in first or last they cheer you on! Enjoy

πŸ‘Excellent!! Just don’t be tempted to do more running than 3:5 & ruin your training! Walk the rest & enjoy it! πŸ‘

Great stuff, and it’s good that you’re feeling stronger. I think doing PR for W5R3 is a great idea - my understanding is that there are all levels of ability, and I bet you don’t come last πŸ‘πŸ˜

It's so good that you are feeling stronger!

If you feel like you might be disheartened then maybe hold off for a few weeks. The only person you're racing is you at this stage, keep it that way if it keeps you happy 😊
