My 11yr old is struggling with a bit of anxiety so going by the mantra of healthy body, healthy mind, I pursauded her to run with me. It was her r2w1 and she did so much better than run1. Perhaps it was the sunshine, but there was definitely a lot less moaning to be heard. π...I know she won't admit to it, but I think she actually quite enjoyed it. And I hope I gained a running buddy. πͺπββοΈπββοΈ
I might get a running buddy after all - Couch to 5K
I might get a running buddy after all
Lovely. Well done to both of you! πππ
How lovely to run with your son/daughter π
Brilliant.
If she can see it through, it will build her self esteem and confidence and could change her life.
Having a running buddy is the best and your daughter will benefit the time with you and the exercise
What a good role model you are . Your daughter will learn to love running as much as you do. Good luck ππ
Thatβs fantastic Zebadee - I do hope the plan helps your daughter! What a joy to find something you can do together!
If she can keep it up it will really help her seeing her progress. How about getting her to make a chart to mark off each run on, she could choose how best to annotate it and shed see posi8proof of her progress. Happy running
ππexcellent! There are always new trainers & lovely running gear rewards, to encourage new goals. The gift of running is a gift for life! Well done Mum!!!
Ahh well done to both of you -
you for realising your daughter needs a bit of help. I know this will help her to think a little better about herself, bit by bit her confidence will grow and to your daughter for stepping outside her comfort zone and doing the runs this maybe the start of a life long love for her. wishing you both all the best,
Jacca x
That's fab. Are you at the same stage of the plan? If not, how have you worked that? My daughter would like to run with me but trying to work out the logistics. Thank you x
Hi, I graduated few months ago. I am making running with her a priority, but as she had more than a day between the two runs, I went for a 30 minute run by myself in between. As she is only at the very start it's not really a problem to do a run with her then have a longer run on my own. I may need to change that as she progresses. I'm not an expert, there are far more experienced runners here, who could can give you advice depending on what stage of the plan you are at. I am just seeing how I feel at the time.....good luck to you both. It really is quite nice to run together, even when she moans at me π
