Back on the run after a rather long break...

I have just completely amazed myself by running week 8/2, after a bit of a break. It was very slow - one kph slower pace than my last run, which was 1st August - 3 months ago! - but I'm fine with that. I had a weird hip problem - nothing serious, but pain, so I stopped. But I kept up with yoga/pilates and then, when I was recovered, had a cycling holiday, which really upped my fitness level. It was being stubborn though, which got me through (and a very funny podcast, and some good sunshine).

Be careful of doing too much too soon after a 3 month break from running . 😊

Aren't you all lovely! Thank you for the "take care" - it's easy to get a bit carried away. But the sun was out this morning - after what seems like a lot of rain - and so I got excited. I did tell myself that if I felt any pain or twinges then I could just stop. And I was really slow. Strangely, it did seem to go very quickly. I've got yoga tomorrow evening, so hopefully that will stretch out any niggles that result from over-enthusiasm.

Have fun. And yes I'd agree, this is the nicest most supportive forum around
