So in February I set out with the intention to complete the C25K, and if I remained disciplined with my running through to Easter I'd enter the 2020 London Marathon Ballot. Long story short, I made it to week 7 and my discipline failed.
September sees me and Mrs Me getting back on top of things - cleaning, eating, screen time etc, and for me, running.
What d'yall think is the best way forward? Just pick it up from where I left off, go back a few weeks or start from scratch?
I really dont want to go back to Run 1 and ideally would love to get back up to week 9 before October. If possible, what I'd really like to do is find a way to fast track the 9 week plan into the 30 days of Septemeber so wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to where to start?

I'm reading through the plan and thinking of trying Wk5 R1 and see how I do. Although I havent run for 5 months I've still been cycling to and from work everyday and plenty of walks.
Welcome back. I remember how well you were doing... hopefully this time round you will be able to find a way to keep it going. Set some goals and rewards for getting there.
I was trying to remember when Easter was... but it was more than a couple of months ago. You will have some residual fitness from then, but if I was in your position I’d go back to run 1... the legs will have lost their running conditioning and the risk of injury trying to just resume would be huge. You’ll find it easier for sure... but that’s no bad thing.
In your exact circumstances I’d be happy to go back to the start as it would give me longer to focus on finishing this and then carrying on.
I was actually enjoying the runs so I'm not to sure why I dropped off, especially as I was so close to fininshing.
Although I haven't been running, I've still been cycling to and from work everyday and plenty of walks so I'm not too worried about my fitness, but I hear what you're saying about my legs running condition. I'm thinking of trying W5R1 and seeing how I get on. I'm working on the basis I can use that run as an assessment to see if I need to go back to week 1, 3 or I can manage starting at 5
I would start again, but you seem keen to start at week 5, maybe you can just do 1 run from each week, until you get to week 5, then pick up the programme from there....😊
I havent run since May even though I graduated in April. Life just took over and running wasn't part of it! I have tried starting from Week 7,6, 5 etc and came to the conclusion that perhaps Week 1 would be best so that I didnt become disheartened when I couldnt complete the sessions. Yesterday I did Week 1 Run 1 and completed it! Yay! Motivation has been my biggest stumbling block especially when I wasnt able to complete Week 5 etc. You seem well motivated so give Week 5 a try and if it fails try the 3rd run of each week to see how that goes. Good luck.
