I went for a 3k run this morning for the first time since..I can't remember, five or six weeks proabably. I have moved house inbetween.
I took it nice and easy and really enjoyed it, with no aches or pains and surprisingly I wasn't out of puff even though i have a bit of a chest infection.
I haven't been on here for the same length of time, so I'll have a good catch up. I bet you're all doing marathons by now
I'd like to get back into a routine, so aiming to run every other day if I can, even if they're short runs.
The weight has piled on, interestingly, so it would be good to get that under control again.
It's wonderful running in the Autumn.

well done for getting out there, thats the hardest bit, and your plan sounds great. Yes Autumn is so beautiful for running, especially days like today...perfect temperature and really beautiful surroundings....
I'm certainly not running marathons and indeed seem to be running shorter distances - 3ks, half an hour's running, a bit more sometimes. Last week I only managed one run which was a bit frustrating but I did do 2x30 minutes swimming. I don't enjoy the swimming anything like as much but it gets my husband exercising. I've always felt that for me running had to fit into (albeit I hope enhance) my life rather than the other way round.
Mind you, I can now often come in at an average under 10 minute K (depending how much bog and undergrowth I get involved with) which is quite exciting for me.
