Hi all, I started the C25k initially to lose weight, that was my one and only goal. But what I found instead is far more important. I found a love for running I never knew I had, a new hobby and a new body shape (not actually any weight loss yet), I’ve just completed wk 5 run 1. I thought it was going to be tough but it was great and I was in control throughout all 3 runs.
I just wanted to share the joy I’m feeling with those going through the same thing - who knew we could love running!

Yes! That’s just perfect... loving this will keep you doing it... and that person in the mirror is changing. Don’t worry about the scales... they’ll catch up later. I can find someone overweight but healthy and also someone ideal weight but unhealthy in my little street... healthy is the most important bit and so should come first.
We are, sadly, taught to hate running at an early age... but we are born to do it. Your next run contains the half way point in this plan... when that bell goes you are there... and it’s a great time to reflect on how far you’ve come. When that bell sounds just think back to how tough it was getting started, and how in control of this run you were... that should make you smile into the second half of the run.
Congratulations so happy for you. There is such a sense of freedom in running and your achievements are all down to you alone - celebrate. Happy running
You are brilliant! And a new hobby too, wahoo! You’ve come so far since that first run and all because you decided do one of the hardest parts - to start 😊 you are marvellous!
We can describe to someone how good it is to run and how it makes you feel . It's not until you take part you really find out what running can do for you. 😊😊
Well said orangerun and well done! I always thought I hated running, and yet I'd watch other runners and wish I could do it. Turns out I can, and so can you! 🙌 Keep running, it just gets better 😊
