Hi all! My name is Zel. I started the Couch to 5K programme today and thought it would be a good idea to get involved in a forum for tips and support - anything to give this the best chance!
W1R1 wasn't as bad as I expected considering I haven't run (or exercised at all) in about a year. Feeling it in my legs and I'm pretty sure I lost at least 50% of my body weight in sweat but super excited to have started!
I look forward to chatting to everyone
Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween to you and welcome to C25K and the forum, just take all your runs slow and steady, no running on consecutive days, good luck, onwards and upwards to run 2 of week 1.
Well done on getting started. Great forum - hydrate and then some, take it slow and be sure to read the link @iannodaTruffe sent - loads of tips. 😀 happy running 🏃♀️
Nobody ever drowned in their own sweat (or hopefully anyone else’s) and it will get easier, as I’m sure you know.
Good call to come here too... running isn’t all physical, distance running is also about the mental side and learning is training too. Very supportive bunch here, I know that I wouldn’t be running without this place.
Great job getting started, keep the pace comfortable, stay on top of hydration and enjoy your journey.
Great for getting started zellybelly. Just go slow and slower again if needed and remember to drink lots of water about 2-3 litres per day and not just on run days it really helps.
C25k is an amazing plan and really does work you'll get lots of encouragement and support on here good luck 😊😊
Hi Zel, well done on starting, and this forum is the best! Post often and you’ll get lots of encouragement and advice on here. Enjoy your progression, it’s such an exciting programme! 👏🏻🏃🏼♀️👏🏻
