WK3 R1 - Got my playlist

Got my running shoes on, got my playlist, got my sunrise (at the end of the run anyway).

I also got too excited, when I was plotting a new course, about how far I might run on this new week. Ended up much further away from home than I was happy with. All part of the learning curve, but I'm really not very good if the run isn't as simple as run in one direction, hear the bell, run back. But I needed the change.

So anyway, I did promise I'd share my brand new running playlist with you. So here we go. 20 songs (for now) played on shuffle for variety. A good bit of cheese in there for you. Who doesn't like a bit of cheese?

Roll over lay down - Status Quo

Don't Stop Believing - Journey

Long Train Running - The Doobie Brothers

Keeping the Faith – Billy Joel

We are the Champions – Queen

Legs – ZZ Top

I don’t Care Anymore – Phil Collins

Jump – Van Halen

Hush – Kula Shaker

Big Man on Mulberry Street – Billy Joel

Born to Run – Bruce Springsteen

Everybody Wants to Rule the World – Tears for Fears

I’m Gonna Be (500 miles) – Proclaimers

Road to Nowhere – Talking Heads

Bitter Sweet Symphony - The Verve

Pour Some Sugar on Me – Def Leppard

Highway to Hell – AC/DC

Chariots of Fire – Vangelis

Footloose – Kenny Loggins

I’m too Sexy – Right Said Fred

Have a great day everybody

Kula shaker! I had forgotten they existed!! Good list, am pinching some of those ideas!

Oh I'm sure I can drag some more oldies but goodies out from the depths of the 80s and 90s. I'll keep adding them

Please do! It's good to have a youth reminder ever now and then!

Just as well or you may never have gone. Cold bright autumn /winter days are the best, rain not so good. Have a great day

Well done RunningMigster, you certainly have some classic cheesy songs there (including The Proclaimers might be adding an ambitious goal though!) It looks like you're really getting into this now mate, well done!

Tee hee. Good list. 😄 Sorry you had a trek back - happens to us all from time to time. I ran my first 5K (post graduation!) by getting lost.... 🤣

Lol!😂 Welcome to the “Lovely run & ...err lovely long walk home club”!! It’s the secret C25K affiliated club that we all fall into sideways by accident.

Great run, well done you! 😄 - and that extra cool down walk would be super beneficial!😉😄

PS Chariots of fire - MUST add to my playlist! - I can pretend...😂

Actually, now you mention it I think I should use Chariots of Fire on a loop for my distraction music. Now I've slowed to a pace that allows me to run for 5 minutes I must look like I'm doing it in slow motion!

😂😂😂 I’m playing the music in my head in slow motion now!

So pleased you appear to be getting out there and progressing nicely even if you strayed away a bit too far .

Love the playlist too. I listen to the music on the “Rock My Run” app (recommended)

walking pace lol but suits my speed nicely .

Keep going you’re doing great 👍.

It’s an amazing feeling to finish the plan .

I’m a bit lost without the challenge .

Keep posting !
