Ok didn't mean to was aiming for 10k but had a new playlist and a new route ran to the top of Haying Island (to the bridge) and back down along a nice dis-used railway track next to the sea ! When I got to the bottom I decided to run to the beach as that would be top of Island to bottom. Then when I got to the sea Meatloaf Bat out of Hell started to play so I thought I would run til the end of that (so that's another 5 mins) then Rhianna Pon de Replay came on and that is a perfect sprint song so did a sprint to the end of a road that gave me a 5 min walk home. Some perfect running songs on my trial playlist were Bruce Springstein Born to Run, Taylor Swift Shake it off Billy Joel Uptown Girl and Diana Ross Baby Love, Come see about me and Can't hurry love, oh and Girls Aloud Sound of the Underground :) No wonder I kept running think I need a Garmin to tell me when to stop ;) Better go and RiCE my knee now as that is way over 10% more than 7.5K Must be my new shoes :) :)

Good for you- funny how it goes sometimes. Hope that knee's okay.

it is hard to stop when you have one of those runs :D , definitely rest and look after that knee :D

I will, I'm not able to do a Park run this Saturday as it's a Uni visit day so that's 2 rest days with maybe a short run on Sunday ! At least I know I can do 10K now :) Having had a month on the IC couch I really will make sure my knee is OK before I run again, I don't want to go back there !! :)

I know exactly how you feel. Fingers crossed that the rest and shorter recovery run will do the trick :)

Thank you It doesn't hurt today not-so-Slow-Rob, but I know I am lucky. I was silly to run so far and did risk injury. I have checked my route and now know where 10K is so will end there next time and consolidate that before I move on. Still aiming for a shorter recovery run on Sunday just to be sure !! :)
