A few of us, Fatmumslim, Rollertoaster and Newbierunner, were discussing this week about running on Christmas Day and running to cheesy Christmas choones! I think I will fit in a run in the morning for some "me" time before everything gets too hectic, weather permitting of course, and so were wondering if anyone would be joining us?
If so, what would be on your Christmas playlist for warm up, 30 min run and cool down music? From the ideas submitted we could put together a good playlist I think!
To get it started with just a few:
Warm up: Mud - Lonely this Christmas
Run: Wizard - I wish it could be Christmas every day; Elton John - Step into Christmas
Cool down: Aled Jones - Walking in the air
Well cheesy!!! Look forward to your ideas....

I just ordered our advent calendars online on Tues, they arrived last night, so we are having double choccie until we've caught up I'm waaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy behind!
Depending on the weather on Xmas morning, I will either be walking up Penyfan or running up the forestry, but I havent used music whilst running for months as I enjoy the peace and quiet too much.
Just picked up on this - sounds like a great idea, and I agree with delia, you can go on to eat your Christmas meal without worrying about the calories. I'm going to download the same list. One idea though.... I'd have to warm down to Walking in the Air, even if I end up crying as usual!
I had a thought today! Who wants to wind up parents/get kids over-excited? Do you run in the early morning? Try running with these on.... ebay.co.uk/itm/380484643184... I'm going to look in Early learning centre for some on Thursday.
love the idea of christmas run 'together' brilliant music and I can't wait to get my sleigh bells, what a fab idea. Might give that hat a miss though, but I do have a sant hat I can start wearing, will wait until end of next week to start going out in my xmas bling (may add some tinsel and mistletoe, you never know
I definitely want to run on Christmas day, but not to music - I'm a bit of a bah humbug when it comes to Christmas and LOATH Christmas songs! BUT, a local boy is planning to run a marathon on the local running track on Xmas day to raise money for charity as a member of his family has leukemia. My eldest boy (who knows him) has forbidden me to run with him - but I'm bloody well going to for a few laps to give him support - it's gonna be well boring running endlessly round a 400m track!
Only just picked this up - been off for two weeks with chest infection - loving all the playlist ideas - I was planning a boxing day morning run as dont think will get away before then - this has absolutely made my mind up - brilliant idea Now I just have to work out how to download all those songs....
Thanks everyone, I knew I just had to get back on here to get that motivation back - you are all sooo positive
