seems to have gone relatively quickly.. not quite half way yet.. πŸ€“.. have lost 8 pounds by the end of week 3 (with diet) so it’s been productive so far on two counts. I use a lot of leg protection and so far although quite painful no injuries or anything to stop me completing the weeks up until now, so I hope that continues fingers crossed.. hope others are doing ok with things so far also.

Hi, like you, I've got to week 4 and lost 8.5 pounds (with diet). Absolutely loving it until I pulled a muscle (I think) in my left buttock! Wasn't too bad whilst running but painful when walking. Rested for a week and restarted week 4 yesterday but struggled with the pain....think I may need to take a break...gutted.

Well done on weight loss and reaching this stage. Make sure you are stretching out properly after every run to help prevent injury. Great effort πŸ™†β€β™€οΈ

That’s my one weakness the stretching but I am trying to improve that. I hope you are doing well yourself and you have found positive health benefits too πŸ₯³

Stretches dont need to be time consuming but as you go into longer runs they are essential. I'm onto week2 of 10k plan , this is such a journey, I only started in August and its dictating my life, in a positive way. Keep happy keep safe keep running - but not too fast

Thanks but not that impressive, the first couple of weeks you are running less time than on week 9. It'll be next week that's telling!

It’s very impressive most people won’t attempt even the 5K program and sustain it so you completed it and you are pushing on beyond to a new challenge. Congratulations πŸ₯³ and much success with this new phase .. πŸ†

Good luck with W4 and congrats on the weight loss. I’m about to start it too, but haven’t lost any weight ☹️ Maybe I need to eat a bit less, haha!

Oh thank you .. good luck with week 4, it feels like we are stepping it up this week πŸ₯‡

Instead of eat less, which can be difficult, try eat different. Choose which foods you want "wasted calories" then eat healthy for rest. Me, chocolate is a necessity so other things get dropped.

Yes, well done for getting this far and for losing some weight. I'm about to start Week 4 (tomorrow) and didn't start weighing myself (only out of interest really, but losing weight is one of my aims) until just over a week ago. I've lost around 4lb and although I am being careful about my eating (a phrase that used to mean I make sure to put it all into my mouth!) I've not changed my diet at all, so it must be the exercise that's done it for me. I'm preparing myself for the longer runs (and shorter recovery times) this week by repeating the 'run slowly & then slow down some more' mantra and have put some slower 'distraction music' onto mt phone, which I hope will help. Keep up the good work, and keep letting us know how you're getting on, we are all interested.

Congratulations πŸ‘ŒπŸ₯³ for week 4 and your 4lb loss.. it’s wonderful to have this structure so we can be flexible with how we achieve our longer runs. Some days like you I really have had to pace and other days like today I got through it more easily, all how the body feels and mind is I assume .. keep us posted too with your progress and best wishes ..
