Rain and mud won't stop me!

Yet another rainy day and the local woods are turning into a mud bath at the bottom of the hills. At times it felt like I was running one step forward and sliding two steps back! But I plodded on and completed a Week 4 run - it felt good to be running more than walking this time so I'm thinking of skipping ahead to a 20 minute run next time and just see how things go.

Well done! I run in a similar place, so I have a question......do you have running shoes or trail shoes?

I have Saucony Peregrines which someone on this forum recommended as a good trail shoe. I was still slipping and sliding a bit today! I guess to be totally mud proof, you'd need to wear spikes but that feels like a step too far for me.

You're really getting back into this Debston. Good luck with your 20 minute run. Hope you are well. 😊😊

Lovely muddy path... nice cooling rain... oh and a great runner in the mix, sounds about perfect to me. Good job.

Well done, Debs. I’m guessing you took off your trainers before stepping back indoors.

Wowzers.

I thought finishing wk1 on tarmac was hard.

I cant imagine having the added work of running through that.

Good for you. I salute you for that!
