Morning running people... :)

Yes, me again... It is a wet, wild and windy morning here, but the perfect day for a quick visit!

I have answered so, so many posts over the last few days, regarding all manner of niggling injuries or issues with our running. Sitting on the injury couch known as the IC, is really no fun at all!

So... just a reminder for us, all of us; because injury happens to all runners, whatever level they are at! Taking care of our running body is essential and putting in some work, making sure they stay injury free, is very worth it!

We have an incredible resource in our sister site, our Strength and Flex forum , so if you have not paid it a visit, then please do so.

healthunlocked.com/strength...

healthunlocked.com/couchto5......

You will find a lot of advice there in the posts and the links and often too, in replies to the posts. A place to chat about what you are doing on some of those rest days and how you are working to keep yourself injury free!

E.g

healthunlocked.com/strength.....

Take a look at past posts on there too!

Anyone on the forums, who has been injured will tell you,, how important your non impact work is on some of your rest days, for keeping those running parts fit and healthy!

They will also tell you, prevention is definitely better than cure:)

Time to go visiting! See you there soon , I hope :)

Great advice from you Floss, I had a slight '.injury' to my upper arm on Saturday night Sunday morning, I think it was due to the whole weight of my body when I was sleeping on my side, it hasn't affected running, but some of the other exercises I do, especially with my kettle bells I will not do until the pain has gone, not so bad this morning. 😊

It's practically away now, however, this evening I went for my annual flu inoculation, jag, the nurse put the needle in about the same place that my arm was sore, OK, but the kettle bell excersises will have to wait until later on in the week, tomorrow I will go for my midweek run.

I was at the gym again yesterday and feeling ready for my run today. I am 10 months in on my Stregnth training every week and feel so much stronger for it. I swear it is the S&F forum that keeps me going otherwise I would not be so dedicated 😀. Thank you Floss. Rfc xxx
