Week one, run one

Not sure how, but somehow I managed this, Yes I went super slow. So slow I think my run was a fast walk with more impact with each step.

Oh and on other good news. I lost 1 kg this week.

Still adapting to the things out here. No sugar in my tea. They use a saucer of jam with tea instead.

Well done on both counts! Slow and steady always wins this race! 👍🏻😁

my name comes from the fact that I thought if I ran any slower I would go back in time :D

Slow is good, slow gets less injuries and you get more me-time :D

Well done! I’m being super cautious too and have my second run tomorrow.

I can tell you that I can feel it today though; not great pain, just a sort of mild ache all over. Even if you think it’s not doing anything, it appears to me that it is!

A few gentle stretches and lots of water will hopefully help - says she who needs to deep massage bum muscles she didn’t know existed 😉

I have just done that very thing, and it helped! And before I ran yesterday I also made sure to do the warm up and after run stretches recommended via the links in the main “How to.....” post. ‘Cautious’ is my middle name, haha!

Wendercausiouswoo..

You doing the right thing, missing warm ups and cool downs can lead to aches and pains, they are very good for muscle health.
