One year ago I was a naughty cat and ditched my C25K group and skipped W4R3 to do parkrun on its birthday instead.

One year on and I'm getting up at stupid o'clock to take the Katnap family to Lyme Park parkrun and celebrate with some real world VRBs! Yay!

Let there be cake! 🎂

Good luck to you Katnap at Lyme Park Parkrun on the occasion of Parkrun's 15th birthday, I will be running my 7th parkrun at Dunfermline this morning, it will be interesting to see how many parkruns are having 🎂 cake to celebrate 15 years, I am sure Bushy park will as that is where it all began in 2004. 😊

I had a very good parkrun today Katnap, disappointed, not at my result which was 32.31 but because there was NO CAKE at the finishing line, I think they only have a cake at parkrun on the birthday of that particular parkrun, not like today which was really the birthday of Bushy Park Parkrun and the 15th birthday of when the first parkrun took place.

I did have dippy eggs with marmite soldiers in the restaurant though 😋

That is a very nice photo of some of the runners on this forum that Cheekychipmunks posted, I don't think that you were at Lyme Park Parkrun where they all ran.

🤣😁 I was there! Me, TailChaset, and our two kittens. We ended up spending the day there after being joined by family around 11:30

No, I ran at Southsea today and UTS played hockey after cheering everyone on. I don’t have trail shoes and I haven’t done many hills so this is not one for me.

Lots of cake in Lyme Park’s cafe but none at the end of our run. I doubt if Bushy had cake either - there were >1800 runners today, that would have been one big cake (or even lots of big cakes!).
