One whole third of the way through! Still can't believe I have come this far! And I thought I would dread the idea of 5 minutes, but I am actually looking forward to it! Despite the cold and the rain!!

Week 3 complete! π
πyou are well on the road to being a runner when cold and rain dont bother you - somehow you'll find the winter not so long this year.
I am really glad I didn't start in the summer, it would have been too warm! The rain doesn't bother me and after a couple of minutes I warm up a way, but the wind is annoying when you are trying to run uphil and it is trying to beat you back down again!! Did it though!
Impressed you are doing uphill. I've managed to graduate on flat runs π
Not a lot of choice when you live on top of one!! (not going to drive somewhere to do it when I have lanes nearby, and I guess you've gotta do them some time!!)
You've still not convinced me ha ha. Maybe next month when I've done some consolidation running. I too am at the top of a hill but drive to loads of picturesque flat places. Dedication on my search for flat and fun.
We each do our own way! I actually don't mind runni g uphill,, not so keen on downhill! It's a bit more scary!
Actually you've found my problem - knees dont cope with downhill and I'm scared that decades old injuries will return and stop me running but I plan to introduce hills ever so slowly in the same way this plan built up the running but in a much longer time scale.
I have a route here that if you go round one way then it is shallow angle going down and steep going up. I went the wrong way the first time and it hurt like hell! I go the other way now and so run up the hill! As tiring as it is, I feel awesome at the end of it! Maybe try somewhere like that so it won't pain your knees, but you get to start running uphill too?!
It really is amazing what we can achieve with the right plan and great effort. Well done you π
πππ great feeling!!
That's fantastic, best to face those hills head on as it will make you a stronger runner in the end ππ»
Keep it up, you're doing great ππ
