Week 3 complete!

Never thought I'd get even this far, definitely don't think I'd have gotten off the sofa if it weren't for this brilliant forum of support and reassurance. I have dodgy ankles and I only started feeling it this week, so got new trainers and ordered some support insoles. Diet side going... sometimes ok, apart from when I eat a giant pizza followed by a chocolate croissant πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ one step at a time!

Well done for getting off the sofa. You probably won't have dodgy ankles if you keep running πŸ˜€ I had puffy ankles when I was overweight and unfit. As the weight came off, and as I got fitter through learning to run with this wonderful programme, I shrugged off my puffy ankle label. I now have discernible ankles and no spare tyres

You can too. Ditch the junk food as it will halt your progress and make you feel sluggish. You can make the changes, just do it!

Go slowly! Slow is just fine for the 9 weeks of runs. Have fun πŸ˜€

Go you! It's a great feeling when you get another week under your belt. You're doing brilliantly☺

Hope the new trainers and insoles help your ankles. Take it easy, like you said, one step at a time and don't forget your rest days. Onward to slay week 4 😊

Thanks guys! Yes you're right I should pace myself a bit better in general but especially when the ankles/knees are playing up. Well done for ditching the puffy ankles! We are all capable... just need some will power and support, which I've finally found both of!

Well done or completing week 3. Rest up, then you're ready to start week 4.
