Hi I've started 5k and have made it to week 3. I sometimes find it hard to motivate myself.
Week 3: Hi I've started 5k and have made it to... - Couch to 5K
Week 3
Well done for getting this far. Keep going.
Motivation is always a battle. I'm on week 9 and I have started every run reluctantly as I would much rather be doing something else, like watching TV and drinking a beer!
But, 5mins in and I'm feeling good. And then I get to the end of the run and I'm pumped. That beer tastes so much better and I've now got a real good reason to sit on that sofa and relax Infront of the telly.
I don't know the secret to finding motivation, we're all different, but I have certainly found remembering how good you feel at the end of the run always helps.
You're on week 3, that's a third of the way. Keep going, you're doing great!
Love the skeleton graphics Elspeth95, just take all the runs slowly, perhaps you have been running too fast or not drinking enough water, great that you have reached week 3, that is the shortest workout of C25K.
Love these!! You are doing well. Keep that goal of yours in mind...trying to improve your overall fitness and health when your motivation wanes. Remind yourself that running is the best way to achieve both those things. Once you become more comfortable with your actual run you will be able to look around you and be motivated by the beauty of the changing scenery. Also as more of the happy hormones kick in, in the longer runs, it will give you more of a desire to be out there. It will happen!
It is worth carrying on. I am struggling on week 4 but finding i can do week 3 easily now. However while doing week 3 I struggled..so I am carrying on with week 4 knowing in time it will happen. Patience and perseverance
