Repeat another run in w4?

Hi again all 😀 so me and the monsters managed to complete week 4 just barely! R1 was amazing but R2&3 were dreadful, we all felt it. Would you repeat some W4 runs until we don’t feel like we’re dying at the end or continue to W5? Or maybe take extra rest days? Cheers for any ideas 🤪

If you completed the runs, then move on.

Look at your preparation.

Are you well rested, fully hydrated and appropriately fuelled before you started?

Definitely hydrated beforehand but might need more during. I might just leave an extra rest day. Just recently changed my diet as I thought I probably wasn’t fuelled properly so I’ll see if that helps me. The kids eat far better than I do 😂 thanks xx

Anything you drink while on a thirty minutes workout is not going to have any effect, apart possibly psychologically, so you need to hydrate well the day before your run, as explained in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

If you completed the run as prescribed then I would move on to the next one. However a extra day or two rest won't do any harm.

Listen to your body. You are putting it through quite a lot of change in a short space of time so be kind to you

As IT said make sure you are properly hydrated. It really does make a difference. And make sure you do basic stretches after each run. Both will help reduce the aching muscles.

Best of luck x

Think you’re right. We completed it so don’t really want to go backwards. I’ll add another couple of rest days. Hopefully the rain will go away by then too 😂 I wasn’t aching after this one but just didn’t feel like I had the energy to finish. Just started eating better so I’ll see if that helps 🤣

Of you've completed the run it would be ok to move on to wk5. Its up to you if you want to repeat it. Well done to all of you 😊😊😊😊
