Run, swim, rave, repeat...

What a terrific start to the day! Got up at 7 (I was the only person awake on the whole campsite, I think) and ran along the cliff tops in the pouring rain for an hour. Got back to find husband still asleep and decided that since I was wet anyway, I might as well head down to the beach for a swim. Then on my return, he presented me with a bacon buttie, which no doubt undid all my hard work.

Happy running, everybody. Hope you all have a wonderful day πŸ˜€

Apart from the 7am (and cliff tops - sounds bit like too many edges) sounds perfect including the bacon butty, especially as it was made for you.

I read somewhere that bacon was good for you as it replaces the salt you've lost sweating 😜😜 so you def didn't undo any hard work.

Great work out too!

Rrd , you find these facts from where exactly? I don't really care where, I think they are fab. Now post run, what good does a big bar of chocolate do?πŸ˜€

Magnesium. Essential.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Can you work some magic chemical reasoning on red wine, gin, cheese...

Oh yes! This is where I excel! Wine is grapes. So one of your five a day (or all depending on quantity) gin is juniper, so naturally good for you. You can add tonic for the quinine (especially good in the heat ) and cheese is essential calcium to avoid getting osteoporosis πŸ‘πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘

Thank you my nutritional education is complete and I feel happy knowing I am following a very well balanced diet! :)

Me too. Right up there with calcium and grapes, quinine and sometimes beer for the cereals πŸ˜‚

in reply to froggyrunner

mmm - okay fr need more help, don't like and never have beer. Other acceptable dietary substitutes?

Whiskey is cereal. As is flapjack. (With honey and dates for added goodness ) As for as food (and drink) is concerned I can justify just about anything (hence the need to learn how to run !)

Whiskey is pretty dreadful stuff on the whole, with the exception of Wild Turkey. There should be some law to make them change the name of it to protect the integrity of whisky.

The 10yo Wild Turkey is some kind of wonderful though.
