This morning I got up and headed off to my local parkrun and I have to say what an amazing experience it was.
I did W7R2 on my way around and even though I had to walk for an extra 1/2km to get to the end as my program ended I was really happy.
It is such a great feeling to be able to comfortably run for 25mins and I managed to maintain a pace during my run of 6:50 a km so I know my stamina is improving run by run.
Everyone was so friendly and I will definitely be trying to make as many of these as I can. Next week I will be running for 28 mins of the route, the week after it will be 30 mins and the week after that I will have graduated my C25K so I am going to aim to run the full 5k.

Thanks buddy, I really am so proud of myself as back in July I would never been able to run anywhere and certainly wouldn't have had the confidence to run with other people.
You do know there are free t-shirts to collect.......50 runs, 100 runs, etc., plus a beautiful purple 25 shirt for 25 volunteer stints..........your new addiction begins......👍😁
Everyone there was so friendly and so encouraging. I was a little overwhelmed when I first turned up with so many people there but it was great, I have had my text and I came 310th
They truly are inspirational, once I get a few more runs under my belt I am going to offer my services as a volunteer. How had i never heard of Parkrun before I started C25K.... amazing.
